Five Reasons to Climb a Mountain This Summer
Another installment in my Adirondacks series:
I want to show you five reasons you should climb a mountain in the Adirondacks this summer:

You can bring the whole family and find a right-sized mountain to climb.

You'll climb dizzying heights and feel slightly afraid -- but remember that you are ALIVE!

You can play "Name that peak!" while enjoying breathtaking views of distant summits.

You'll thirst for a dip in the clear, blue waters that wind through the valleys.

You'll know what it means to feel 'on top of the world' and return home feeling as if you'd really been Someplace...
And now I want to give you five easy Adirondack mountains to climb. So head on over to Rochester’s City Newspaper Summer Guide ’09, which just published my list of Five Easy Hikes in the Adirondacks.
Motivated by my own desire for the summer mountain experience this summer, I did loads of research and found the skinny on good family hikes along with suggestions for lodging and other attractions. If the piece inspires you to visit the Adirondacks, let me know!
