Thanks for writing. You know, I HAVE heard of these vertical axis turbines and am curious to know what the experts think about their safety for birds. The more I’m tuned into the wind power frequency, the more I see how rapid its development is here and in the UK/Europe. So, I imagine that this will be given proper consideration. I share the concern about the thousands of birds getting killed by propeller wind turbines. I wondered, how can we harvest the wind and not be detrimental to birds? I believe I found a company that offers a solution, a vertical axis turbine. Perhaps it is too out of the box that no one else has thought about it? Or studies haven’t been done? Please help me get the word out so it may be considered.
